Your data is yours. Here's exactly what we collect, how we use it, and how you can control it.
We collect information in three categories. Account information: your email address and a securely hashed password when you register — we never store passwords in plain text and no one on our team can read them. Product data: the information you generate by using Tragent, including trade entries, session records, emotional check-in responses, rule configurations, and discipline scores. Technical data: standard information collected automatically, such as IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and session duration, used to keep the service secure and to understand how features are used. You can optionally connect a brokerage or prop firm account through a third party connection provider, which we use only to import your executed trades and fills. We never ask for or store your bank login, card numbers, or withdrawal access, we cannot move money, and we do not place, modify, or close trades on your account. Payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor. When you use the voice copilot we also process the audio from your microphone, as described below.
We use your information to operate the service: to authenticate you, to store and display your trading data back to you, to calculate discipline scores and analytics, to process payments, and to provide customer support. We also use your email for service-related messages — security alerts, billing receipts, and notice of material changes to our policies — which you cannot opt out of while you hold an account, plus optional product updates you can unsubscribe from at any time. Aggregated, anonymized usage data helps us decide what to build next and is never used to identify an individual user. We do not use your trading activity for financial research, we do not build advertising profiles from it, and we do not sell it to data brokers or any other party under any circumstance.
When you use the voice copilot, Tragent asks your browser for permission to use your microphone and streams your spoken audio in real time to OpenAI, which powers the realtime voice model and speech transcription. When you use the text chat assistant, your message and the relevant context from your account are sent to Anthropic to generate a reply, and short spoken voice previews may be produced through a text to speech provider. These providers process this data only to return a response to you, under their standard commercial API terms, which do not use your content to train their models. Tragent does not record or keep your audio beyond what is needed to run the live conversation, and you can use the entire product without ever turning voice on. You grant microphone access in your browser, your browser remembers that permission so voice works on return visits, and you can revoke it at any time in your browser site settings, which disables the voice copilot until you allow it again.
We share information only where necessary to run Tragent. A small number of vetted service providers — our authentication, payment processing, and cloud hosting partners — process data on our behalf, strictly under contracts that limit them to the purpose we specify and forbid any use of your data for their own benefit. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, or court order, or where we believe in good faith that disclosure is necessary to prevent fraud, protect the security of the service, or protect the rights and safety of Tragent, our users, or the public. If Tragent is ever involved in a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, user information may transfer as part of that transaction, subject to the commitments made in this policy. We do not sell your personal information, and we never will.
Data is encrypted in transit using TLS and encrypted at rest on our infrastructure. Passwords are hashed with industry-standard algorithms and are never recoverable, even by us. Access to production systems is limited to authorized personnel, protected by multi-factor authentication, and logged for audit purposes. In the unlikely event of a data breach affecting your personal information, we will notify affected users and any regulator required by law without undue delay. We retain your data for as long as your account stays active. If you close your account, your personal data is deleted within 30 days, except where we must retain limited records longer to comply with law, resolve disputes, or prevent fraud. Aggregated, anonymized data that can no longer be linked back to you may be retained indefinitely for product analytics.
We use only first-party cookies and local storage in your own browser. A session cookie keeps you signed in and remembers your cookie choices. In your browser local storage we keep a randomly generated device identifier used only to fairly spread rate limits and never as a cross-site fingerprint, your interface and voice copilot preferences such as the chosen voice and model, a record that you have granted microphone access, and some settings and drafts cached on your device so the app runs smoothly. Your browser itself also remembers the microphone permission you grant so the voice copilot works on return visits without asking again. We never use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or data brokers. You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data at any time; trade and session history can be exported directly from the Analytics screen, full account deletion can be requested at any time, and you can remove the locally stored data by clearing this site storage in your browser. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as the GDPR or CCPA, including the right to object to or restrict processing and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact privacy@tragentapp.com and we will verify the request and respond within 30 days.
Tragent is not directed to, and may not be used by, anyone under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors, and if we learn that a minor has created an account, we delete it and its associated data promptly. Our infrastructure providers may process data in countries other than your own; where a transfer leaves the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, we rely on recognized safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses. We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, and if a change is material we will notify you by email and by a notice in the app before it takes effect. Continued use of Tragent after a change takes effect constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
